SOPHOMORE AVID

2009-2010

10th grade Avid has been busy at work with a variety of activities. So far this fall, sophomores have begun class by selecting a few students each day to share "good things" that have happened to them since the last class.

In addition, sophomores juggle Tuesday-Thursday tutorials, PSAT prep, SAT vocabulary and Community Service in the courtyard garden. They gained inside knowledge about college life from a senior at the University of Texas at Austin who visited McCallum to talk with them about college and they have sharpened their discourse skills in ongoing socratic seminars.
